As a nonprofit leader, I have over two decades of experience in Workforce Development, Housing and Homeless Services, Case Management, Data Management, Staff Training and Development, Program Evaluation, Fundraising, Development, Strategic Planning, and Quality Control. I poured my insight, expertise, and vast knowledge into creating The Nonprofit Locker Room™. I have the kind of brainpower and clarity of thought that will help you cut right to the heart of what's needed, and I'll support you in making the changes that will transform the impact you AND your organization will have. Numerous organizations have formally recognized my community and professional contributions, including Multiplying Good, Prince George's County Social Innovation Fund, and Leadership Center for Excellence.
Driven by my own experiences, my activism is deeply rooted in challenging the notion of grief and loss as a lifelong burden. Instead, I advocate for cultivating a community that finds purpose in their pain. Through education, events, and support groups, I inspire grieving parents to find healing and empowerment. I am an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, speaker, and author, dedicating my life to helping hearts heal and guiding others through their grief journeys.
I exercise, travel, and enjoy time outdoors when I'm not helping grievers and nonprofit leaders. I am the proud mother of 3 beautiful girls, one in heaven and two on earth. I'm an HBCU alumni of West Virginia State University and earned my MBA from Strayer University. I was born and raised in West Philadelphia.
